On 14 March (10am – 1pm), Moseley for Ukraine and Fruit & Nut Village are hosting another morning of community tree and shrub planting at Seaside Forest Garden in Balsall Heath.

The event brings together Ukrainians living in Birmingham and local residents to help green the neighbourhood, learn about forest gardening, and take part in a relaxed, hands-on volunteering session. Tools are provided — just bring comfortable clothes and a willingness to get involved.

About the event

We invite Ukrainians living in Birmingham and the surrounding areas to join a community tree‑ and shrub‑planting initiative at Seaside Forest Garden. This is a great opportunity to spend time outdoors, make a real contribution to greening the neighbourhood, and take part in volunteer activities, which are an important part of British culture.

Last year we held a similar event, which brought together an active and friendly community. This year we are continuing the initiative.
