We are a community owned and led enterprise organisation. Working with the local community we look for practical answers to local problems and aim to achieve sustainable solutions. We are:
– Focused on the neighbourhood of Moseley
– Under community control
– Tackling the whole picture
– Not for private profit
– Working toward financial independence
Established over 20 years ago we are a registered charity and run a number of different projects and activities
The aim of Moseley Community Development Trust is to improve the neighbourhood through a combination of social, economic and environmental projects.
Moseley Community Development Trust is an independent charity and company limited by guarantee, founded in 2001 by The Moseley Society and the Moseley Forum (previously known as Central Moseley Neighbourhood Forum) with help from the Ashram Moseley Housing Association (previously known as the Moseley and District Churches Housing Association).
Our Activities Today
We own and operate the Moseley Exchange a community hub in central Moseley. The Moseley Exchange is an integral part of our work as MCDT, from here we offer a community information point, community room hire and a range of services and activities.
Through the work of our Neighbourhood Outreach Worker and the Moseley Alternative Giving Campaign we provide support to local people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
Through the work of our Community Connector we run a range of community events and activities and support people into volunteering opportunities
We work with local residents, businesses and stakeholders to create a thriving, vibrant Moseley that people enjoy as a place to live, work and visit.
We’re always really keen to hear ideas and ways we can better enable and support the local community. We’d love to hear from you so please do get in touch Lorna@moseleyexchange.com
