Introduction to Self Employment - A one day course by Bournville College and supported by Moseley Community Development Trust

If you're looking to start and run your own business, you need to do everything you can to make it work. Many small businesses fail early on, there's no hiding the statistics. Often people start a businesses with a blinkered determination that ignores many of the factors that can make or break a business.

Bournville College is offering places on a one-day introduction course on self-employment planned for July 2007. It is free if you live in Moseley or the SW of Birmingham and the course will cover:

  • Introduction to entrepreneurship
  • What makes a good idea
  • Ten principles of good business planning
  • The way forward

If you enjoy the introductory day course and wish to take your business idea further you could go on to our safe-enterprise programme that is designed to support you through the business start up process and beyond.
