Moseley Creative Forum is an informal networking event for those people who work in the creative industries and live locally. It's a chance to find out about where to get help and maybe start up new collaborations.

The next meeting is on Wednesday 24th May 2006, 19:30 - 20:45. This is a public meeting and anyone may attend, you do not have to be a member of the Creative Forum.

Guest speakers

Screen West Midlands is the agency for film, television and digital media in the West Midlands. Skills Development Manager Louise Bermingham will outline the skills development training and programmes on offer. Production Development Executive Dan Lawson will talk about some of the funding opportunities, including the Digital Shorts 06 scheme

Sibyl Ruth is Programmes Director at SCRIPT, the West Midlands agency for dramatic writers. SCRIPT provides training programmes, mentoring and development schemes and writer events throughout the region. Sibyl will talk about how SCRIPT can help writers for stage, screen or radio to develop their work.

'Spotlight' is a feature which allows members to give a brief overview of their creative business or endeavour. This evening's spotlight is on Nigel Amson who co-owns It's About Time Productions, a local independent, artist-led video and multi media production company specialising in Social documentary, Social Art and collaborative arts projects that manages all aspects of projects from creation to delivery. Nigel will introduce their new project 'Local Shorts Filmclub' and will be calling for submissions.
